Four Mile Lake is a popular recreation area with warm, shallow water, perfect for swimming. Four mile is approximately four miles long, or 6.05 kms and 1.6 kms wide, with an average depth of 8.8 metres. It’s made up of two geological landforms: the northern section, about one-third of the lake, is part of the Canadian Shield with granite shorelines, while the southern two-thirds is part of the Corben Creek watershed with limestone cliffs at the water’s edge. Four Mile is popular with boaters for water-skiing and wakeboarding, and in winter people skate, ice fish, and snowmobile. There are plentiful fish in the lake, including walleye, yellow perch, and bass and lake herring, among many others.
